With the conclusion of the 2019 Georgia legislative section, questions abound. Hear our distinguished speaker on the State of the State for healthcare issues in Georgia, the 2019 session and how the legislation passed will impact hospitals and the political landscape.
A Georgia native, Monty M. Veazey served three terms in the Georgia House of Representatives representing Tift, Berrien and Cook counties and still holds the distinction of being the youngest member ever elected. During his six-year term, he developed a broad knowledge of the issues facing the health care industry as well as expertise in the state budget and regulatory process. Now as president and CEO of the Georgia Alliance of Community Hospitals, Veazey uses his extensive government, policy, and advocacy experience to ensure that all Georgians have access to quality care through the state’s network of not-for-profit hospitals.
