Kevin E. Lofton, FACHE is widely recognized at the national level as a leader in healthcare. His background in top positions of many diverse organizations provides a unique perspective on the problems and challenges facing the nation’s healthcare system.
Mr. Lofton has been CEO of Catholic Health Initiatives since 2003. Mr. Lofton served as 2007 Chairman of the American Hospital Association (AHA) Board of Directors, and chairs the AHAPAC Steering Committee. He is a former ACHE Regent at Large, and received the ACHE Gold Medal Award in 2015. He also served as President of the National Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE). Mr. Lofton previously was CEO of UAB Hospital, and CEO of Howard University Hospital, Washington, D.C. He sits on the UAB School of Medicine Board of Visitors and was formerly on the board of Morehouse School of Medicine. Mr. Lofton was ranked 11 times in Modern Healthcare magazine’s “100 Most Influential People in Healthcare” list, and included in the 2007 Ebony Magazine’s “150 Most Influential Blacks in America.” Mr. Lofton received his MHA from Georgia State University and BS in management from Boston University.
