About the Program
Join us via Zoom on May 22 for “Emergency Preparedness to Weather the Storms.” This program will provide an overview of key facility and operational logistics when preparing for natural disasters or inclement weather.

The discussion will include a look at how one hospital in Augusta responded to Hurricane Helene’s impact last September.  Panelists will also discuss policies and procedures for tracking costs, additional staffing, and coordinating with community resources.

The session will provide key takeaways for healthcare leaders when preparing for or responding to a natural disaster emergency and offer emergency response resources.

Panelists Will Discuss:

• How to evaluate and address gaps in emergency preparedness plans that could create vulnerabilities in responsiveness to natural disasters or inclement weather conditions.
• Examples of things that went well and opportunities for improvement when natural disasters or inclement weather severely impact hospital/healthcare facility operations.
