About the Program
Join us
virtually at noon ET on September 4 for our Virtual Interactive program, “Rebuilding Public Trust Following Hospital Clinical and Managerial Errors.”

Healthcare organizations are becoming more transparent due to increased monitoring by various public and private entities. Hospital executives who have taken on the task of rebuilding their image following an unexpected error in their organization can help us better understand how to create increased community trust and market share. This may include increased community relations initiatives, internal public relations campaigns, such as responses to patients’ and families’ questions, press releases, future marketing, and studying and adjusting safety initiatives.

Panelists Will Discuss:

  • What role do senior leaders have in developing a consistent message that can be delivered to patients, families, the community, and the press after an error?
  • How can your organization benefit from increased error transparency? What are the risks?
  • How can public relations and marketing departments work together with clinical departments to bolster public perception of an organization in cases of patient error?
  • What legal issues need to be addressed when disclosing errors to the public?
  • How does an organization determine what level of disclosure is needed for each error?
  • What are the ethical issues regarding transparency, and how is an organization prepared to address them
