About the Program
Join us on October 16 at Maggiano’s in Buckhead for our in-person lunch and learn program, “Fostering Inclusion of Patients and Employees with Disabilities.” The program has been approved for 1.5 hours of ACHE In-Person Education credit.
This panel discussion will focus on how healthcare leaders can strengthen equity of care and foster inclusion of patients and employees with disabilities by addressing federal laws and mandates, providing the necessary accommodations, enhancing the quality of care and patient experience, and creating tools and resources. Some of the topics covered include:
- What are some of the current or common obstacles people with disabilities face in your community or hospital when seeking care?
- How does your health system address the fears/anxieties those with disabilities may have when seeking medical care?
- What steps has your organization taken to meet ADA, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and The Joint Commission’s requirements to ensure equity of care and inclusion?
- What innovations has the organization made in terms of addressing physical, mental/behavioral, and sensory impairments for both patients and employees?

Our October 16 program will be held at Maggiano’s in Buckhead.
Networking Time
Registration opens at 11:30 AM, and we will have 30 minutes of networking time before and after the program, with plenty of time for questions and answers during the program. Lunch will be served beginning at 11:30 AM.

Attention Graduate Student Members
ACHE of Georgia is offering monthly lunch and learn scholarships to graduate student members. Graduate student members who attend three of our monthly lunch and learns are eligible for a reimbursement of their registration fees. For example, a graduate student who paid the student rate of $20 and attended three meetings in 2025 would receive a reimbursement of $60.
Reimbursements will be on a first-come, first-served basis and no more than three luncheon events per student member. For details, or to submit a request for reimbursement, contact our Scholarship Subcommittee Chair Chet Bhasin.
