Join Us in the Clubhouse!
Clubhouse is an invitation-only social media app where we can communicate in voice chat rooms about topics close to our hearts in a more intimate way. We are committed to discussing topics that are relevant and guiding healthy conflict-oriented discussions to promote individual growth for the healthcare leader.
About Our Program
Join us in the Clubhouse at noon on November 8 for a discussion on “Genetics Programs in Hospital Systems.” With more than 6,000 known human genetic disorders, nearly 1 in 50 are affected by gene disorders. Hospital leaders need to consider their approach to these patients.
Our guest speaker is John W. Henson, MD, MBA, Director of the Hereditary Cancer Clinic at the Georgia Cancer Center in Augusta, Ga. Dr. Henson was previously Chief of Oncology Services at Piedmont Healthcare and on the staff of Massachusetts General Hospital and the faculty of Harvard Medical School for 17 years. He is a co-author of the textbook “Diagnosis and Management of Hereditary Cancer” and is a well-published leader with over 125 papers and book chapters.
This session will be moderated by Larry Tyler, FACHE, and all attendees are invited to participate in the program and share their insights and questions. This free session offers 1 hour of ACHE Qualified Credit. The program format provides a more informal format that allows more time for audience interaction and networking.
John W. Henson, MD, MBA
