Opening Keynote Session:

Our opening keynote speaker is Andrew Cox, Chief of Staff to the President and  CEO and Vice President of Leadership Development, at WellStar Health System.

As a member of the C-suite for one of the largest health systems in the Southeast, with 9 hospitals and more than 25,000 team members, Andrew Cox has become a nationally sought-after expert on leadership development, culture, and the growing role of the Chief of Staff across all industries. He is passionate about developing others to their fullest potential and cultivating a positive workplace culture. Through his leadership and experience in leading large-scale initiatives, he has contributed to Wellstar’s overall success by leading human resources and operational efforts.

On October 5 from 8:15 am to 10:00 am, we will have a photographer on-site to take headshots. It’s a great opportunity to update your professional headshot. The cost is $50 and includes two high-resolution headshots. You can sign up for a headshot on the registration form below.

Networking Event on October 4 at 6:00 PM at Reformation Brewery in Canton!

Join your colleagues for beer, BBQ, and fun conversations at ACHE of Georgia’s North Georgia  Summit pre-event networking. The event will be held at Reformation Brewery Canton inside The Mill on Etowah complex on October 4 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

“Personal Path Exercise”

Participate in an exercise to better understand your personal path to happiness and success in the workplace. This session will be led by Marion Spears Karr, Managing Director for Healthcare and Life Sciences for Comhar Partners, an international executive search firm. He has a deep understanding of the complex challenges facing the healthcare industry today.

He is the developer of the Accomplishment Culture© Coaching Model for team and individual leadership growth which is founded on positive psychology thought such as Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi “Flow Theory,” Elias Porter’s “Relationship Awareness Theory,” the work of Michael Maccoby on “Strategic Intelligence” along with other influences and his own work over the last 30 years.

Afternoon Session 1: 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM:
“Mindful Leadership: Leading with Heart and Mind for Healthcare Leaders”

Practicing mindfulness can help healthcare executives more effectively deal with daily challenges by approaching each situation with focus and clarity to make important decisions, being creative and innovative in their approach to healthcare leadership, and being compassionate with others in times of turmoil.

The goal of this session is to make the case for the importance of bringing mindful practices into healthcare organizations to develop leaders’ cognitive abilities to be more effective and compassionate and provide suggestions for how to implement these practices in an organization.

1.5 Hours of ACHE F2F Credit.
